Lesson/Week 10

Today we took a closer look at a type of trace/physical evidence: hair.  Students microscopically viewed hair samples and learned that the root of the hair must be present on a hair sample to test for DNA; otherwise, hair can be used conditionally to connect a suspect/victim to a crime scene.

Students should download and print the attached worksheet, completing it as they view Forensic Files: Purr-fect Matc (black & white printing is fine!).   This episode is available on YouTube.  The completed worksheet should be submitted in class next week.
