Thank you to the parents who were able to make it to the meeting Tuesday morning. If you were unable to attend, here are a few of the 'take-aways':
1. Please allow ample time to get to school on time; traffic has definitely increase the past few weeks! Our days are busy and we don't want your student to miss anything! In addition, the school entry doors will be locked at 9:15 a.m., as we don't have a front desk attendant on Tuesdays. If you need access to the school after this time, please knock and wait for someone.
2. Please make sure your student eats a filling breakfast before arriving at Trinity. Many students are opening their snack bag the minute they arrive! From here on out, food will only be permitted during group snack time (approximately 10:15 a.m.) and group lunch time (approximately 11:45 a.m.). Please make sure students pack enough food items for snack and lunch, along with plenty of water. A close-topped beverage container will be allowed on the desk the entire day; juice boxes/pouches will only be permitted at snack and lunch.
3. Please ensure students are completing their homework over several days, not waiting until Monday night to cram it all in. Students should be spending 3 - 4 days per week tackling 'at home' work.
4. That's about it; the older group spoke for a few minutes to encourage students to be mindful of their schedule and workload, as the next step in their educational journey will have increased workload. Time management is key!
This week we added Spelling to our Language Arts curriculum! On the weeks with spelling activities, there will not be grammar homework assigned. See the attachment below for homework assigned. PLEASE REMIND YOUR STUDENT TO WRITE THEIR NAME AT THE TOP OF ALL HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS! Have a great week!
