At 10 a.m., we learned about Portugal from Reid and Sweden and Russia from Jacob. At 1 p.m., we learned about Portugal from Drew and Norway from Tobi. Great job on all of the reports! Also at 1 p.m., we were treated to 'Amazing Grace' on the bagpipes compliments of Duncan. It was amazing!
Continue to study the European countries and surrounding waters we've learned so far, adding the following: Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Vatican City, Albania, Kosovo, Slovakia, Albania and Kosovo. As we get into these last few 'small' countries, I will make the multiple choice questions with only (2) optional answers. If they study, they will be fine!
We only have 2 more weeks for European Country Reports! Several students have postponed their presentation date, leaving a lot of reports in the next 2 weeks. PLEASE have your presentation practiced; timed at 5-7 minutes and be ready at the beginning of each class time! As noted on the presentation guidelines, the report SHOULD include a budget and dining plan BUT during the presentation, each dollar spent should NOT be quoted and each meal should NOT be itemized. (calendar and presentation guidelines attached)
**Reminder, Monday, November 18 is our European Food & Trivia Day! Each student should bring a dish from their country to share with the class. I will provide plates, napkins, silverware and beverages. **
